Italian Language Courses

"Mommy and Me" (12 months - 2 yrs)
Musical activities include singing, dancing and playing simple percussive instruments.

Toddlers (3-4yrs)
More music, games, and songs with the addition of visual materials, craft activities and stories.

Discovery Class (4-5 yrs)
Emphasizes the excitement of science & geography through hands-on discovery, experimental learning, crafts and games. Students are introduced to the fascinating discover of animals, butterflies & insects, stars & space, human body, castles, and traveling in Italy.

"Little Singers" Choir (5 yrs & up)
The "Little Singers" is a children's choir designed for ages 5 and up with little or no musical background. The program serves to "learn twice". The children learn to sing and speak Italian, culminating in a final concert presentation.

Language As Art (6-9 yrs)
Students learn how to appreciate paintings, and understand the cultures and the storytelling behind geometric shapes, straight, angular lines, and color, in this class your children will practice also reading and writing in Italian.

Teenagers (13-17yrs)
Students learn in a small, attentive and fun class through a variety of interactive programs.

 
 
 
 
 

Italian Courses For Adults (18yrs+)

Evening Classes and Full-Immersion Weekends

Beginner I
The student has little or no previous experience in the Italian language.

Beginner II
The student is able to understand and respond to very basic conversational situations.

Intermediate I
The student has considerable high school or college background experience in Italian. The student can speak using the present, past and future tenses.

Intermediate II
The student is able to express and understand ideas in detail on a variety of topics. He or she may not understand rapid, colloquial speech.

Advanced
The student is able to understand and use all forms and styles of speech, but needs some practice and improvement in the language.

Cinema
Laugh with Benigni, cry with Fellini, and fall in love with Sophia Loren... Watch and discuss Italian cinema.

Theater
The purpose of this course is to teach the Italian language in all its forms through the study of classical and contemporary Italian playwrights culminating in the presentation of a play.

Cooking
Learn history, geography, amusing habits and legends related to the Italian rituals of cooking and eating. Through this course you will master the art of preparing the traditional recipes of five distinct regions. Attendees are encouraged to bring their curiosity and their appetites!
