, founder and director of Centro Raccontami, is a native-born Italian from Ragusa, Italy. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Catania, with a specialization in Italian, Spanish and English Literatures. Dr. Tennyson is also certified in Early Childhood Teachers and Graphic Arts and works as a freelance Italian translator for various companies in New York City and Italy. She teaches Italian classes at Montclair State University, City College (The City University of New York) and at the Italian Language and Cultural Arts Center, Centro Raccontami, to children and adults of all levels. Dr. Tennyson has also been honored with the Italian American Educator of the Year 2007 Award by the Association of Italian American Educators (AIAE) in New York State.
